A Spiritual Awakening must be Awakening FROM the Mind

Imagine peering down into a well. Imagine seeing your reflection upon the surface of the water. Imagine slowly losing yourself within the reflection.

Imagine the reflection usurping control of your life.

This is where we all stand- caught peering within the illusion of ego-mind.

We fear.

We desire.

We suffer.

We try to run from this imagined life we’ve created that ripples across the surface of the water…

Continuance of Life

At first breath, we emerge out of Life as this body-mind. Oblivious to ideas of separation or language or identity. The haunting psychological mind is a distant inaudible whisper. Life is just fine.

Keep the body fed. Keep it clean. Life is just fine.

We are Source in Its Purity. We are Innocence. We are True Nature. Life is just fine.

We frolic through a vast stretch of beautiful, pristine, lush fields. Blue skies abound. Sunbeams dance upon our fingertips. This is Source. We are Source. We are One with What Is. Life is just fine.

As we grow taller than the shifting seas of amber grass- we come to see there are others here as well. Our vision blurs as we strain to see them. We become a bit confused… When did they arrive? When did I arrive?

There ARE others. They are everywhere. There are billions of them. They are…all…standing around wells.

Why do they peer down into darkness? They are missing all the Beauty that surrounds them.

What ARE they looking at?

Curiosity grows.

The Purity of Source around you wavers.

Losing OurSelves

Why are they so…unmoving? So tense? You sense something- you sense fear.

Something grips you by the hand and leads you towards a lonely looking well.

A voice calls to you- “You must take your place at your well of mind.”

We follow and take our place, step upon our tiptoes and peer down, eager to discover what lies within the well.

It’s darker than we would have imagined. The stones surrounding the well are very cold.

There is a reflection in the water.

Or am I the reflection? Is that the reflection or am I the reflection?

Caught and mesmerized by our own face, we become lost in our reflection. We become mind. My mind. My person. My body. My world… This is the well of mind.

Our reflection is an illusion, but it becomes our world- our version of deluded reality. In time, we create our suffering and our joys, our desires, our relationships.

We lose track of why we’re here and we become lost and afraid. We search for “something”, for meaning, but it all feels so hollow…

Now Source, in Its Infinite compassion, sends us images (experiences) upon the surface of the water in order to help release us from our deluded state.

Source wants us to rediscover Source.

We’re sent tragedies.

We’re sent sorrow.

We’re sent anxieties.

All our suffering IS Source trying to turn True Self away from the reflection.

The vast majority of those peering down into mind just see themselves as the reflection. There is nothing more than this…

Some are more fortunate and find their way to the Spiritual path.

Something familiar within us starts to Awaken. Our lost innocence begins to move deep inside.

Self-discovery

When we begin to stir and Source feels as if we’re moving closer to understanding- Source provides signs showing us there is more to life than just our own reflection.

Shimmering lights upon the surface of the water surround our sick image of who we think we are.

We experience synchronicities.

We have intuitive feelings.

We have Insights.

These “sparkles” in the water “shift” our attention away from our own reflection and move us in a new direction. Source is interacting as Source with True Self.

We may start to reach for the water. We touch the water and it ripples. We’re confused. We feel the illusory nature, but we’re still caught within mind. We try to “understand”- and this empowers the mind once more.

We’re still within the well. We’re still prisoners to the reflection of ourselves.

Ego-mind is cunning.

Mind takes ownership of the shimmering lights playing upon the water- imploring us to investigate their deeper meaning. We must find out why they are there. What are they trying to show us?

Our focus returns to our reflection and the connection with Source wavers.

In time, we come to see we must only observe mind. We must let go of the need “to know” or we become lost again.

We allow mind to rant and wonder and crave and need and desire.

Synchronicities

Intuition

Insights

All are here just to change our direction. They have no mystical property. They are whispers behind us as we stand at the well. Don’t delve into phenomenality. Let it go. Don’t grasp.

When we become Still- the lights become brighter and we begin to turn back towards the Light of Source.

Trust in observing the mind and allow all thoughts to come and go.

Allow all feelings to come and go.

Allow all phenomenal experiences to come and go.

We don’t need to conceptualize our Insights.

Awakening

In time, we find we’ve turned away from the well of mind.

By accepting all that flows through us…we see the dazzling fields of Source once again. We return as Source again. We are Home.

Although we ebb and flow between ego and rediscovering True Nature- we are always Source…and have never been separate from Source.

Nothing to lose.

Nothing to gain.

Accept Reality as It Is.

There can only be Reality.

True Self is the Higher Consciousness out of which all emerges. We are It- without separation.

Ego’s role is to take us away from Grace in order to show us the Beauty of Grace…

We just need to stop fighting the mind.

We just need to rest in our own knowing.

We are Perfect as we are…so step away from the well of mind and allow your Purity to resurface.

We can all walk barefoot upon the rolling hills of Purity again.

Walk hand in hand with Source once more.

Turn away from the well and see True Self.
